A message to our incredible Emergency Services workers across Australia

We are in awe of your bravery, selflessness and commitment. Every firefighter, volunteer and Emergency Services worker who has risked everything to protect us, putting the needs and safety of Australian communities ahead of their own, deserves our deepest gratitude and thanks. Since the devastating bushfires began late last year, you have demonstrated true courage, mateship and compassion in the face of crisis and extraordinary hardship.

We are deeply saddened by the tragic loss of RFS and CFA volunteer firefighters who made the ultimate sacrifice in serving their local communities and for the three US firefighters who will never return home. Our thoughts are with their families, friends and fellow Brigade members. These tragic losses are a reminder of the risks that our emergency services workers take in the line of duty, every day, to help keep us safe.

To every Emergency Services worker across Australia, we stand with your local communities to acknowledge your extraordinary service, commitment and care in protecting the lives and property of the people in the communities you cherish.
