Cash Passport is quite simply a card which you pre-load with your spending money in up to eleven (11) different currencies2 on the same card before you travel. The card can be used for point of sale, online and for ATM transactions worldwide, wherever the MasterCard Acceptance Mark is displayed. It is Chip and PIN protected for enhanced security and worldwide acceptance.
You can reload your card, check your balance, access statements, allocate funds and view your recent transactions online from anywhere in the world. There is also a Help Centre, and information on how to get more from your card.

To retrieve your cash passport balance, complete the Cash Passport Encashment Form. Cash outs are processed within 10 business days. Note: Cash outs of foreign cards will be converted to AUD at the prevailing exchange rate prior to crediting to the customers bank account. You can also access funds via a local MasterCard ATM. Read the Product Disclosure Statement.

4. “Lock-in your rate” means the exchange rate is locked in for the initial load only. Subsequent card reloads will be processed at the then prevailing exchange rate on the day of the reload transaction, and will be locked in at that rate.
5. Emergency cash replacement (up to the amount available on your card), anywhere in the world, normally with in 20 minutes, though in some remote locations this could take up to 24 hours.
5. MasterCard Cash Passport must be notified of lost or stolen card. Emergency cash can be arranged quickly and up to the balance on your Cash Passport, subject to availability of funds at the approved agent location.
6. Not all ATMs are capable of enabling PIN change on Cash Passport cards. It is important that the ATM locator on Cashpassport.com.au is used it will identify only those ATMs where the PIN change can be completed.
7. Card to Card (C2C) transfers will be enabled to allow two Cash Passport card holders (Australian issued Cash Passport cards) to transfer funds to each other via My Account. Domestic C2C transfers can take place between the same currency, for example AU$ to AU$, or cross currency, for example, AU$ to US$; or AU$ to SG$. Limits will apply up to a maximum of AU$20,000 or currency equivalent. No fee will apply
When you use the Incoming Transfer Form to transfer a foreign currency into AUD$1000 or more between 1 December 2018–28 February 2019, you could receive up to $100 in Gift Cards per transaction* on your first three qualifying transactions - that’s up to $300!
These gift cards are only rewarded when you transfer foreign currency into Australia. Local currency transfers are not included*.

Firefighters Mutual Bank has partnered with American Express to offer you a variety of foreign currency services so you have the confidence of security and convenience when sending and receiving money from overseas.
A fee of $25 applies to foreign currency telegraphic transfers and $40 for AUD telegraphic transfers.
A Telegraphic Transfer (TT) allows you to electronically send funds directly into your beneficiary’s account in a specified currency. TT’s are the preferred method to make large value international payments as they are processed quickly, cost-effectively and securely in over 100 currencies.
You can choose for the funds to be either in Australian dollars or the currency of the destination country (note some restrictions may apply*). Please note that TT’s are not immediate—they can take anywhere between 2-5 working days to arrive, depending on the country.

Send money overseas
An incoming overseas deposit allows you to receive foreign currency into your account that is then converted into Australian dollars (AUD). Receiving foreign currency from an overseas account is easy.
The overseas financial institution can use one of two intermediaries to transfer the deposit to your Bank account.
To start the process, Firefighters Mutual Bank members can simply visit the American Express Portal, complete the online form and then send the information provided to your payment sender.
The Inward Currency and Account Details document contains all the information you need to receive an incoming telegraphic transfer.

You may also receive money from overseas using CUSCAL’s service. CUSCAL will not accept funds transferred from overseas directly to themselves, therefore your funds will need to be processed through an intermediary bank. You may be able to nominate either an intermediary bank of your own choosing, or CUSCAL’s preferred intermediary bank, NAB. Fees and Charges apply.

This incentive offer is calculated per transfer, it is not cumulative, and is limited to three transactions per person between 1 December 2018 and 28 February 2019. The transfer must be from a selected list of foreign currency into Australia in order to receive the incentive. This offer is only open to members of Teachers Mutual Bank Limited who complete an American Express Incoming Telegraphic Transfer. The remitting party of the member/customer must complete the Incoming Telegraphic Transfer transactions of AUD$1,000 or above from 1 December 2018 and 28 February 2019 to qualify to receive a Digital Gift Card. Completed transactions between AUD$1,000 and AUD$1,999 receive a AUD$20 Digital Gift Card, completed transactions between AUD$2,000 and AUD$4,999 receive a AUD$50 Digital Gift Card and completed transactions over AUD$5,000 receive a AUD$100 Digital Gift Card. A maximum of 3 qualifying transactions per member of Teachers Mutual Bank Limited will be eligible to receive 3 Digital Gift Cards.
Please allow 6 weeks from 28 February 2019 for Digital Gift Cards to be forwarded to the email address listed in your account. The Digital Gift Cards are managed by a third party vendor, Edge Loyalty. The Bank arranges Foreign Cash as agent for the issuer Travelex Limited ABN 3600 4179 953 AFSL 222444 (“Travelex”). The purchase of Foreign Cash attracts a fee of 1% or $10 (whichever is greater). The repurchase of Foreign Cash attracts a $10 fee. The Bank also has a revenue sharing arrangement with Travelex. The Bank receives 20% of the net profit made by Travelex in selling Foreign Cash via the Bank. Exchange rates are set by Travelex. Orders placed by you for Foreign Cash cannot be cancelled. If you do place a cancellation request, we may, at our absolute discretion, purchase some or all of the Foreign Cash from on behalf of Travelex. Please note that the repurchase of Foreign Cash may, because of fees and charges and possible movements in exchange rates, result in a loss to you. Travelex is required to collect your personal information under Anti Money-Laundering legislation. We are aware that a very small number of members travelling to the United Kingdom have experienced delays in payment processing. We are working to resolve this issue with our third-party payments provider. A bank draft is a cheque issued in a foreign currency, it can only be deposited into the account of the person the draft is made payable to, making it safe and secure. Cheque clearance times may apply when depositing cheque(s) to overseas banks.
A bank draft is available in a wide range of currencies - including Australian dollars. We recommend a draft in the destination country’s currency to avoid additional exchange rate fees or delays at the other end. Call 1800 800 225 8am to 7pm, weekdays, and 9am to 3pm, Saturday to check if your destination country’s currency is available.

A foreign cheque is a cheque issued in a foreign currency, in which can be converted into AUD deposited into your account1.
The foreign currency cheque can be provided to Firefighters Mutual Bank in person at any branch or by post2.
The AUD funds can take up to 45 working days3 to be deposited into your account.
You should be aware that if you do not personally know the drawer of this cheque(s), you should be very cautious of depositing it into your account given the frequency of scams being perpetrated. If you have any doubts regarding the legitimacy of the cheque(s), you should contact this office as a matter of priority on the number below.
