Eligibility criteria

Be an Australian citizen or permanent resident.

Be either:
- Employed in, retired from, or volunteer in the Australian emergency services sector.
- Immediate family to a Firefighters Mutual Bank member.
What you need to apply
- An Australian residential address.
- Identification documents with your full name, date of birth and address, such as a birth certificate or driver’s licence or passport, and Medicare card.
- Tax File Number.
Even if you’re not a member, you can still bank with us as a customer. Complete a customer application form to get started.
If you already have a customer Term Deposit and want to open another complete an existing customer application.
New Members
When you open a Term Deposit as a new member of the bank, you’ll automatically get an Everyday Direct transaction account too.
Existing Members
Login to Internet Banking. Navigate to Self Service and select Open New Account. Select Apply under the new Term Deposit section and follow the prompts.
